There is a bug in Firmware 1.0 that causes error in pulse counting. The higher is dose rate the greater is an error.
Bug was caused by blocking delay that was used in 'beep' procedure.

If you have "Radioactive@Home --- 2.60 ---" detector you can upgrade firmware by RS232 connection but if you don't know how to do it - don't do it!

Here is an upgrade pack:

Good luck!

Hey guys,

i've got three V2.6 Kit (last year i think) with Firmware 1.0

I've tried to update the 1 Detector with Version 1.1

It looks good so far - µC Info worked and i tried to flash the V1.1 release. Also done. But then nothing happens.
Connecting Putty to the RS232 Terminal it shows only the '?' on and on and on.
Looks like the µC hangs continuously in boot mode.
The Flash File is about 17 kB is that right ? (The Flash tool reports only 6190 Bytes)

Is there anyway to get / flash the V1.0 Release

Kind regards
andreas

Well, I just bricked my detector, I can not sit still :)

Everything looked good when i clicked upload FW, the led blinking one time, progress bar, but Radioactive@home never came back in the display.
Any advice? What I need to flash the firmware in other way?

I looked at avrdude installed on my debian pc. Can I use it with the usb to ttl adapter or do I need anything else?

Thanks

You will need and ISP (In-System-Programmer) to run avrdude.
Take a look on the "-c" switch of avrdude. It will show you all compatible AVR-ISPs.
I have a STK500v2 compatible bought on ebay for about 20€

An USBTiny adapter costs about 12€

Thank you appu
I just ordered an usbtinyisp v2 like programmer.
Do i need to power the detector via usb while programming or power should come form the programmer? There should also be a jumper in the programmer to provide the 5v or not

I didn't found the schematic yet but if i remember correctly you can power it via the 6pin Header

Found the Schmetaic here.

The only thing i had to do was to make a connection bewtween the 6pin header of the GigerCounter and my 10pin header of my ISP. I also used the ISP to powering the Counter during flashing.

Remember when 3D-printed shoes were the domain of engineering websites and CAD/ topology optimization websites, all competing for your attention and telling you how great their manufacturing and design processes were?
Those days seem long gone, with sportswear makers like Adidas expanding their additive manufactured footwear lines to gain more adoption.
You may remember that in 2017, Adidas announced that they would release their 4D shoe line, made with a 3D-printed midsole, using Carbon https://www.kings3dprinter.com/sla-3d-printer/kings-450-pro.html system. With their latest shoe iteration, they seem to have surpassed that goal, or are on track to surpass it. The shoes can be purchased from local Adidas stores around the world as well as various 3rd party online stores.
With that in mind, 3D-printed shoes seem to be firmly planted in the public mind.
Let's take a look at the original 2017 shoe models, as well as the latest offerings for comparison.
Since then, they have not only focused on the Futurecraft series, but also added the Ultra 4D series, as shown below.

Ultra 4D
This year's Futurecraft 4D collection is based on the original 2017 shoe model and offers a wider range of colors that we'll cover later.

String Robot
Last year, the sportswear company also announced that it would adopt some CNC AIDS to produce uppers and midsole.
Futurecraft.Strung by a robot that looks like a cross between Kerplunk and The Animatrix robot leaders, The shoe's upper is laid with individual fibers that will be best placed based on The athlete's biometric data.

You can see the robot in question below:
Adidas String Robot
You can see a close-up of the Futurecraft.strung shoe and her robot in the picture below. As you can see, they also insist on using carbon printed midsole in this variant.

AM popular shoes
While the robotic rope shoes are highly customized in nature (so we won't see them on physical shelves), this year's Futurecraft 4D collection is readily available and you can now find them through a variety of vendors.
The first version of this year's Futurecraft 4D Fusio received a lot of media attention when it was announced earlier this year.
I don't know enough about sneakers to make an informed comment on the design itself. But the shoes are now orange and pink, with a large pink panel on them. The panel is made from TPU, a material well known to 3D printing enthusiasts, but it doesn't appear to be 3D-printed, but molded.
Futurecraft 4D Fusio
There will be more releases throughout the year, and a Google search for the term Futurecraft 4D should find a number of vendors selling these shoes (between $200 and $300).
According to reviews, these 3D-printed midsole are more comfortable than standard midsole manufactured by molding.
