According to the promise made when our project started, we decided to publish the source files of client application and detector firmware.

Application files are written in C/C++
Detector firmware as project for AVR Studio 5

We are work now on setup SVN server for better access to this files and open access to it as soon as possible.

Thank you Krzysztof , that's fair-play of you all.

I implemented completely your project among L'Alliance Francophone's official BOINC projects descriptions, and gave those links in it.

hi, while you open sources, i recommend uploading them on GitHub http://github.com so it is easy for open source community to help developing project

SVN is not a modern solution

ps: http://whygitisbetterthanx.com/ , http://markmcb.com/2008/10/18/3-reasons-to-switch-to-git-from-subversion/

and yes, you dont need to spend time setting up and maintaining svn server

Are the software and the firmware distributed under the AFPL license ?
Is that right ?

No, it's GPL v3.

Aladdin not allow to sell software, GPL allow to do it. We haven't any problem if you fork it and sell as far, as you give your (new) sources back to community.

Ok, I have made some investigation ;)

In detectors v2.x we have used V-USB library, owned by OBJECTIVE DEVELOPMENT Software GmbH. This library is available on two licences:
For non-commercial products licenced under GPL v2 or v3 (it's our choice which one we want to use), but is also another licence for commercial products and where production scale are large (above 10,000 units).

According to V-USB web site:

If the terms and conditions of the GPL are unsuitable for you, e.g. because you don’t want to publish the source code of your firmware, you can simply pay money for a commercial V-USB license.

So, our detector in version 2 are still Open Source, licensed under GPL v3.

Anyway, that complications are not exists with detector v3.x (in tube) where we not use V-USB any more...
