I've had a couple of linux boxes attached to this project for a while, but I've never received a WU, I always get:
Sat 02 Jul 2011 17:33:37 BST|Radioactive@Home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 1 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
Sat 02 Jul 2011 17:33:42 BST|Radioactive@Home|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks
Sat 02 Jul 2011 17:33:42 BST|Radioactive@Home|Message from server: No tasks sent
I notice that there is plenty of work available, and looking at top participants in the statistics, others are getting work and have work in progress.
So, what am I doing wrong?
Al.
p.s. Yes, I know the work is useless as I don't have the sensor, but I don't want to buy one and still get no work :)

I'm not quiet sure, but your hosts ask for 1 second of work? Try suspend other tasks on one host for while and try again, please. Maybe this is a reason why that problem happened?

I only ever see NCI projects request 1 second of work. Actually, the only NCI tasks I run these days are FreeHAL occasionally, and that gets work OK, despite only ever requesting 1 second.
I've got a host about to run dry, I'll see what happens and post back.
Oh, I'm running 5.10.45 BOINC client (and manager) - No idea if there is a newer linux version, and no intention of 'upgrading' :)

No luck. Host is dry, all projects set to priority 100 apart from this one that I set to 1000.
Still requesting 1 second of work, still seeing the same messages.
Weird.

I will investigate your problem, it is very interesting for me :)
As I check, your host is Linux machine (that ok) and have no other tasks to do currently. Can you tell me, what distribution you use, please?
Also, I will to talk with TJM (he is a server administrator) and we will really check where is the problem...
Sorry for delay in answers, but it is weekend and I can't spend as much time as I want on project...

Distro is Ubuntu 8.04
Running another project now, and this project is still requesting 1 second, and still getting nothing.
Don't worry about delays replying, it's not urgent :)

I think that it might be a problem with 5.10 manager (I'm not sure if it is able to handle 0.01CPU apps), however I'll check the scheduler log, perhaps I'll find answer there.

I just got a WU on an XP box running client/manager 5.10.45:
04/07/11 11:13:12|Radioactive@Home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 788 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
04/07/11 11:13:17|Radioactive@Home|Scheduler request succeeded: got 1 new tasks
04/07/11 11:13:20|Radioactive@Home|Started download of radac_1.02_windows_intelx86.exe
04/07/11 11:13:23|Radioactive@Home|Finished download of radac_1.02_windows_intelx86.exe
04/07/11 11:13:25|Radioactive@Home|Starting sample_30566_0
04/07/11 11:13:25|Radioactive@Home|Starting task sample_30566_0 using radac version 102
Perhaps it's something peculiar with my linux boxes, although they run everything else OK.
