A location to meat and welcome

Team info
DescriptionI got a meal meating with a Hollywood pal in May possibly, 2005.

We talked movies, and we talked meat. Meat, meat and more meat.

Tri-tip. Pepper beef. In case you need to dig up more about Forum, there are lots of databases people could investigate. Garlic meat. For alternative interpretations, we recommend you check out: instagram.com. Beef kabob. Prime sirloin.

It's (almost) all about meat when you are at Amazon Churrascaria in Fullerton (in Orange County, Calif.). Churrascaria are a particularly Brazilian mix of steakhouse and barbecue, featuring servers who wander the place bearing sword-length skewers, each full of a chunk of meat, still steaming hot from the grill tucked to the kitchen.

Brazilian variations extend for the design. A waterfall cascades down a wall facing the front door. Crypto jungle-ruin systems, and faux jungle flowers cover the walls. I-t made me think of the kid-favorite Rainforest Cafe chain, sans roaring animatronics, flashing lights and corporate-restaurant mega-merchandising.

A curious effect of-the American Midwest dominates the midst of the large restaurant, which has served in former lives as a Country Inn buffet and a Chinese buffet. A salad bar of sorts, the type common in Peoria in the '80s, harbors mayo-based salads, three-bean salads, cheesy breads, some sauces. And in a single place, the very Brazilian handle of banana frita: fresh banana strips rolled in flour, deep-fried and coated with sugar. De-licious.

Returning to your booth, it's very standard. Red oilcloth-covered tables, well-worn water goblets, a brief set of Chilean table wines and the people getting the meat. So long as you keep a bit table-top red-yellow-and-green spindle turned green-side up, they keep carving. It's all you can eat, for so long as you can eat. (Put the spindle red side up and this means end, already! Sideways means provide the bill.)

For lunch ($12.75), the fare usually is limited -- if you can call it that -- into a dozen pieces of large chicken drumsticks, chicken sausage, beef and chicken cubes wrapped in bacon.

At dinner ($21.75), the choices increase to 2-2 different foods. All of the beef you will get at lunch, plus sweater meat, moist pork and beef bones, ribeye, lamb. There is roasted fish. And now the exotics come in. Alligator, duck, quail, chicken heart.

The fragrance of smoky meat fills the space, and according to your sensibilities, it is either delicious or overpowering.

None of it should come as a shock. You know what you're having the moment you move in to the parking lot.

Some of those large image ads hangs around the outside wall facing the parking lot. A smiling meat machine manhandles a skewer. Twelve other complete skewers loom alongside him. Barbecue odors, richer than whatever wafts over your garden fence, fill the air. To explore additional info, we recommend people check-out: http://instagram.com/orangecountyseo.

My companion (who introduced me for this place-that we have come to call ``that meat palace'' while we were each in our Atkins Diet cycle) and I liked the scent outside and in. Identify further on an affiliated web resource by navigating to click here for. My wife, who joined me for a Saturday-night meal, was strongly within the overpowered camp.

She like-d the ribeye and the skirt steak, but six or eight servings of different foods later, she was full and ready to go. She waited patiently for me to function with the beef rib -- as beautiful as any leading rib I have had -- the quail, the alligator, the rabbit, the pig.

On her behalf persistence, she rewarded herself with a chocolate cheesecake served from a moving cart by Jessica, the ``dessert girl'' -- another curious Midwestern effect -- and we split a pineapple sorbet which was a perfect cover to my gorging: light, steamy, cold and served in a hollowed-out pineapple husk.

Restaurant director Roman Alcaraz says they've built a loyal following, among area Brazilians to be sure -- perhaps it is the caipirinha drinks, sort of Brazilian margarita created using cachaca, a form of Brazilian rum -- but additionally in the whole melange of Orange County's many immigrants, be they Asian, Latin or Illinoisan.

Manager Kent Choy, a CPA in Los Angeles' Koreatown, got the concept for Amazon from the client, and in December 2002 it opened because the only one-of its type in Orange County. A number of churrascaria serve Los Angeles County, and the staff in Fullerton hears rumors of the opponent arriving at Irvine.

But for now, it's a novel kind of experience, a great place to meat a buddy..
