I have actually previously had the traditional Hatteras type hammocks with the thick white ropes, and they are good, but they dig into you back and into the back of your head so that you require a pillow. This Mayan hammock is much more comfy, covers around you like a sock, needs no pillow for your head and the fine mesh likewise acts a bit like a sun filter to reduce the sun, all while letting the breeze through.
