Hi,
Recently, I was playing with the new data graphics.
And I found 22 days ago a strange signal in Austria. (pseudo : LoneWolf-HD )
http://radioactiveathome.org/scripts/graph/scrollgraph.php?days=22&hostid=1739
I remember someone having a medical check, and thus had in his body some radioactive substance on purpose. It was seen, but I guess the signal very different.
Now I am wondering how it is possible to read a sinusoïdal signal ....
Any idea ? |

Seems to be a diurnal variation. I looked over a longer period of time and the pattern is still there. Might be interesting to know more abot the location of the sensor and what it 'sees' over the cycle. The variation is pretty small though. Sun related? Sunrise at the peak?
Unrelated to this project, but I see regular (diurnal) triggers on my QCN sensor. I am at a loss to explain what those are. Sun induced land-tides are my best guess.
Cheers,
Al.

Ah, just looked at my sensor results and I too see a similar pattern, not as clear, but with peaks at the same time, despite being a few hours behind in terms of the earth's rotation.
But then again perhaps I'm just seeing what I'm wanting to see :)
Would be great to see all sensors on one graph, suitably average to see patterns like this.
Cheers,
Al.

I agree it has something to do with something like earth rotation.
If the sun's radiations are involved directly, it should be easy to find this pattern on many recordings. After investigating on 20 various around all continents, I cannot find that clearly.
So your idea of land-tide makes sens according to me.
Maybe conjonction of moon+sun and particularly radioactive underground that may let some radiations spray out by some crack at border of Eurasian and African plates ?
We can see on this map that it may be some "crack" around north of Austria.

I think it might be caused by simple temperature changes. IMO the sine wave has peaks at 1-day distance from each other.

1 day between peaks... the detector hangs in a window that receives direct sunlight for part of the day, perhaps even just 1 hour per day (adjacent buildings block the sun at other times), when the sun shines on the device it warms and behaves differently?

In that case we would see kind of peak or platform, since it is YES or NO signal.
But here it changes smoothly all along 24 hours.
The idea or land-tide of ChertseyAl seems more close to the phenomenon. |

how long time do you see these this periodicity ?
I start to see something similar on this sensor, in the last 2 days:
http://radioactiveathome.org/scripts/graph/scrollgraph.php?days=0&hostid=1782
The only changes in the last 2 days is the starting of central heating ...
by the way I've another sensor in the same room (about 1 meter):
http://radioactiveathome.org/scripts/graph/scrollgraph.php?days=0&hostid=1781
and there are no sign of periodicity. BTW think that my sensor amplitude changes are too small to be significant.

Indeed amplitude is not that big on your sensors. It was about double were the sinus signal was.
Moreover your sinus signal is not very clear yet.
It would be interesting to see if it can be very well shaped.
In that case, the fact that your second has no shape would reduce this strange shape to an artefact ...
I'll try to get the opinion of the owner. |
