I might take some pictures inside the box someday and upload, though there's nothing much to show, just some support made of wood. The geiger tube is wrapped in foam in the bottom of the box.

TJM so in stand alone mode it does not report any of the data but just acts like only a detector then? or does it store the data and then send it in when it is reconnected?

so here is mine, placed in an old Siemens Modem Box :)

I've modified my sensor, I thought the tube would be better off inside the casing, and the soup box was too short for it. So I took an old Haribo 1kg Box, and could even fit some other inside as well ;)

I put my detector in a box to eliminate the high-frequency fizzling, so I can place it now on the window ledge. Before it was in a drawer :)
